PRAGMATIC SOFTWARE IMPLEMENTS
WEB BASED FLEET MANAGEMENT FOR BUCKLEY POWDER

Web based fleet managementBuckley Powder, located in the Denver Tech center in Colorado, has provided explosives engineering services to the Rocky Mountain area for over 83 years.  Buckley's main client base consists of mining and construction companies.  With over 12 branch offices, Buckley Powder found it difficult to track all the vehicles, off road equipment and trailers owned by the company.

Pragmatic Software Company, Inc. partnered with Buckley Powder to create a web-based fleet management system named "bFleet".  bFleet allows Buckley to track:

  • Vehicles - Information is tracked for all types of vehicles, including Pickups, Heavy Amfos, Amfos, Winch Trucks, Tripple Threats, Bob Tails, and Tractors.  A myriad of information is tracked, including the make/model/serial numbers, registration information, purchase information, and vehicle specifications.
  • Off Road Equipment - Information is tracked for all types of off road equipment, including Front End Loaders, Fork Lifts and Drills.
  • Trailers - Information is tracked for all types of trailers, including Drop Trailers, Tankers, Utility Trailers, SMT and MT Mag Trailers.

In addition to tracking vehicles, bFleet also allows the driver and operator of the vehicles to enter costs for the vehicles.  This includes all types of costs, from fuel and oil to major repair costs.  As costs are entered, cost statistics are kept to determine the cost basis of each vehicle.  This includes the total costs, average costs per month, average costs per mile and Average Costs per Gallon of Fuel.

To ease administration, reports are emailed to each Branch Manager weekly, showing what vehicles are coming due for inspections and registrations.
