Software Planner has proven to be very useful to track product issues and Requests for Enhancements (RFEs). For us, the ability to access the information outside our company (by our sales force, customers and partners) was key has led to huge savings in Support and Product Management. It avoids having to go through hundreds of emails to identify, extract, and organize the issues and RFEs reported from the field and buried among other information.

Steve Miller - President / CEO
Steve
Miller is President and CEO, responsible for formulating
strategic goals for the company, and leading corporate
initiatives. He founded the company in 1992 as a software
consulting firm, offering software architecture, project
management, and programming services to companies like
Microsoft, Perot Systems and EDS.
After directing large scale software projects, Miller found an increasing need for collaborative tools to manage the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). In his experience, he found that it normally took 3 or 4 software products to manage all phases of the lifecycle, and saw a need for a single solution, allowing a more integrated experience for the end user.
In 1999, Miller incorporated Pragmatic Software and began development of Software Planner, a complete web-based SDLC tool. Released in 2000, Software Planner has been a huge success, now servicing over 70,000 subscribers.
Miller's vision for Pragmatic Software is to offer products that offer pragmatic (practical) solutions that are better than it's competitors, are affordable for small companies but scalable for large organizations.
Miller's emphasis on technical support has won accolades from his clients, as his support team provides a great client experience, responding to support request in minutes instead of days.
Miller has over 23 years of experience in software development, project management, and software architecture. Miller writes for several electronic magazines and creates a monthly newsletter that is distributed to over 100,000 software engineers monthly.
Miller is a graduate of the University of Alabama, with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Corporate Finance and a minor in Computer Science.
