Software Planner is an award winning application
lifecycle project management (ALM) tool that helps Information
Technology (IT) departments manage all components of
software development including managing customer
requirements, project deliverables, test cases, defects, and
support tickets. Software Planner is also ideal for problem management, in that you can list your problems, report on them and assign tasks to resolve the problems. Software problems normally come through in the form of support tickets and/or defect/bug entries. Since Software Planner allows you to track support items and bugs, it helps get unresolved problems fixed in a timely fashion. From a team perspective, without problem management software, problems are reported via email and sometimes can get lost in the shuffle. Additionally, you cannot accurately provide metrics for problems reported via email (how many problems/issues have been reported, how many have been fixed, how many are high priority, how many are causing work stoppage, etc.).
